The Preventive Dental Program
What is it: your dental health is of the upmost importance, and the preventative program is specifically designed to help patients maintain great dental health by taking measures to prevent periodontal disease, cavities, and tooth decay.
What it involves: it goes without saying that a clean oral environment means that the harmful bacteria in your mouth is better controlled. The preventative program begins from your very first visit, where you will be provided with detailed instructions on how to maintain good dental health and properly manage your oral hygiene. The preventative program continues with your future visits, assessing your technique and up keep, and where follow up instructions will be given.
Additionally: Some recommendations to implement the preventative program include–
- Brush your teeth twice a day, in the morning and the evening, and use a good soft bristled toothbrush.
- When you brush, make sure you do so in a circular motion moving toward the gum line, and be sure to floss every single evening.
- Avoid sugary drinks and sticky foods, and try to maintain a healthy diet.
